I’ll start out by saying I am not affiliated with Citrus Lane, but I would love to be. I think this company is fantastic, I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them and they have sent some of the toys that my little guy plays with the most. I’d much rather pay for their subscription and get 1-2 amazing toys a month than go to a retail store and pick up a few cheaply made ones that cost more, even if I don’t get to ‘choose’ them.
Also, they have different boxes depending on the age of the child subscribed, which is really neat especially if you’re a first time parent (or you haven’t had a little one in a decade!) and don’t know what is out there. AND if you have say, a little boy and are expecting another little boy in the future (like me) then you know the life of the toys is even longer, which certainly doesn’t hurt. They send age appropriate toys and products that are high quality and engaging. I wish I could find something like them for myself!
The first thing in the box are the fliers and the description of what you get in the box, which I love because I can make sure that everything we were supposed to get is there. I’ve never had an issue with missing items but I still like to go over the checklist, plus it provides me with some valuable information about the products listed!
The only time I ever had to contact Citrus Lane about an issue this came in handy too. What happened was, one of the boxes we got had a super cute onesie in it, but it was a size 9 months, and while little C WAS 9 months old at the time, he was already wearing 12-18 months clothes! So I emailed them hoping they could do something and not only did they send me a onesie in the correct size, they let me keep the one they had already sent. It didn’t do me much good at the time, but I kept it knowing that we were trying for another and in a few months little B will get to wear it. They really are fantastic!
We get a lot of samples from these boxes which are great, I’ve actually purchased more than one product because I liked the sample so much, and they’re not always just for baby. One of the products I ended up purchasing after they sent a sample was Burt’s Bees Deep Cleansing Cream Soap Bark and Chamomile — 6 oz which I purchased through Amazon, it was actually much cheaper there than it was at the store and I love how cool and clean it makes my face feel. This month it’s sunscreen, which is really useful, especially in AZ. Our little guy has his daddies creamy white (read- burns easily) skin and I’d love to take him to the zoo when it cools off, we will definitely be testing this out in the coming months!!
The little guy is always super excited when he sees these boxes come, he knows they’re for him. Any other boxes that come to the door he eyes suspiciously looking for the yellow blocking, but these he knows are going to have goodies inside. He was climbing on me while I opened it, like a kid at Christmas! But Christmas comes 12 times a year because of Citrus Lane, and for a boy born 5 days BEFORE Christmas, it’s even better because it’s just for him. This toy he grabbed right away and started walking it around on the kitchen table, he loves anything car or dinosaur!
These are some little snack baggies, I went and took them out of the packaging before I could take a picture, whoops! It said on the label that they were for snacks; I’m sure they’d work great for little toys or crayons or pens too though.
He went bananas over this adorable puzzle block, and what’s great is, each side has a different pattern so they make 6 different puzzles depending on which side is up!
My favorite was the owl, I have a deep love of owls, I even have an owl tattoo on my ankle. He liked that side too!
He played with the blocks and the dinosaur for a while, I happened to catch this shot of him just being excited about having gotten his box, it’s a little blurry but I love it!
Just look at that happy boy! He was stacking up the blocks and knocking them down within minutes of opening up the box! I hope to do an unboxing video in the future, I tried to this time and it would have been fantastic; except the top half of my head was cut off so next time I will be giving us a lot more room! Have you tried Citrus Lane, or another program like it? What did you think? Leave your message in the comments below, I’d love to hear from you!
